Reservations and cancellations
User must enter truthful data when requesting for a Tour
Only Users who are of age in accordance with the legal regulations applicable to them may request to participate in a tour. In individual cases, Lucia Montefiori may ask User to provide proof of his/her date of birth.
User is solely responsible for ensuring that his/her travel documents, including passports and visas, are in order for the Tour he/she intends to book. For passport and visa requirements, User shall consult the relevant embassy or consulate for information.
User is also solely responsible for ensuring that he/she is healthy, physically fit enough and with a suitable level of proficiency to complete the Tour he/she intends to book.
User shall be aware that he/she needs the adequate and necessary equipment (defined in coordination with Lucia) for a Tour considering the potential risks he/she is exposed to (sudden changes in the weather, falling rocks, precipices, etc.)
The User will have the possibility to cancel the Tour in accordance with the following indemnity scheme:
- 100% refunded (or 0% paid) if the cancellation is notified in writing by email to Lucia up to 30 days before the first day of the Tour;
- 75% refunded (or 25% paid) if the cancellation is notified in writing by email to Lucia between 29 and 20 days before the first day of the Tour;
- 50% refunded (or 50% paid) if the cancellation is notified in writing by email to Lucia between 19 and 11 days before the first day of the Tour;
- 0% refunded (or 100% paid) if the cancellation is notified in writing by email to Lucia less than 11 days before the first day of the Tour.
If bad weather or unsuitable conditions force Lucia to cancel the trip, she will: a) propose a similar activity at a different place where conditions are better, or b) propose to postpone the activity until a later date, or c) cancel. If you refuse option a), the cancellation policy will apply. Please note, however, that the call to cancel a trip due to bad weather can only be made by Lucia (not the client). Under exceptional circumstances Lucia could however decide at her sole discretion to refund the client (minus the transaction fee).
If Lucia cancels for reason of injury or other, you will get a 100% refund on your trip.
Lucia gives the User the opportunity to post a review (text/photo) about his/her Tour on the Website. The review must be written in a fair and objective manner and should contain information that is helpful to other Users. Lucia reserves the right for any reason in its sole discretion to remove without notice any User’s review.
Users accepts that their contractual relationship with Lucia will be conducted in English or Italian.
Insurances
Lucia has stipulated for her clients an insurance that gives daily Indemnity for hospitalization due to Accident and that Refunds search and rescue costs.
In any case, the user shall obtain an appropriate insurance policy which covers the relevant risks in relation to the tour he/she booked. In case of doubts, User shall discuss this with Lucia to make sure he/she will be covered for the Tour.
